Criminal case evaluation for California defendants accused of crimes requires the skills of an experienced legal team. At Leib Law we have over 20 years of criminal defense experience and work with the best forensic experts and investigators, all of whom have backgrounds in law enforcement. We handle federal and state cases including felony, DUI, misdemeanor, and juvenile cases throughout Los Angeles, Orange County, San Bernardino, Riverside, San Diego and Ventura County.

We use our experience, work ethic and knowledge of the Court system to give our clients the best opportunity at a successful outcome on their criminal case. We leave no stone unturned in our quest to ensure each and every client has the absolute best chance possible to resolve their criminal matter in the light most favorable to them.

Our Aggressive Strategy to all Cases

Some criminal defense attorneys wait until the first court date to conduct investigation and develop a successful plan to defend your criminal case. Our office immediately starts working on your matter as the first 48 hours after your arrest can be critical in obtaining and preserving evidence including witness statements and information related to alibis and self-defense.

Having Access & Contact With Your Attorney

Defending yourself against criminal charges is extremely traumatic and stressful. Often times a client’s stress is magnified when they cannot get in touch with or speak to their attorney. At our firm, we enforce the 24 hour rule wherein every client call is returned within 24 hours and most of the time within 1 hour. All of our clients get the personal email addresses of our attorneys so that any emergency or question can be addressed even if the attorney is in court and cannot answer a call. Moreover, we encourage questions and contact with our clients as we often times need important factual information, which only our client can provide. Together with our clients’ interaction we work to successfully defend against minor, to the most serious, criminal charges.

Qualified Private Investigator and Experts

Most, if not all, of our private investigators are former members of law enforcement. They are experts in investigating criminal defense charges, including locating and interviewing material witnesses, looking into the backgrounds of potential witnesses for the prosecution and preserving and locating key pieces of evidence. Our investigators are an invaluable asset to your defense. Moreover, most of our forensic experts, including toxicologists, that we employ for DUI cases all have former law enforcement backgrounds as toxicologists for state and local government. These experts can help evaluate scientific issues in your case that often times will lead to the dismissal of criminal charges.

Bail & Release Help

If a friend or loved one has been arrested and/or is in custody, the criminal defense lawyers at our office will immediately request a “bail hearing” to reduce bail or have a client released without paying bail on his own recognizance “OR.” We can also help you find a bail bondsman if you are having difficulties dealing with the bail process, which can be daunting after an arrest of a friend or loved one. We also will visit your loved one within 24 hours of arrest at any local jail he is incarcerated in to explain the process and inform him of the timeline of being released, which often times helps relieve the stress of a client who is incarcerated.

Knowing the Local Courts

Many counties throughout California have different procedures in administering their criminal cases. All of our attorneys have experience defending criminal cases in Los Angeles County, Orange County, Riverside County, Ventura County, San Diego County and many courts in Central and Northern California. Moreover, our criminal defense attorneys have handled Federal Cases throughout California. By having experience working in these different courthouses, our attorneys know how to best approach a case according to the courthouse it is filed in. In many instances our attorneys have established relationships with the Court officers, judges and prosecutors at different courthouses throughout California, which benefits our clients in maximizing the results in their criminal cases.
